NAME: Fate (Had a human name but only Death uses it now.)

THREADCUTTER USERNAME: solarpowered
GENDER: Male
AGE: 5000 and then some. Visually looks to be late teens, early 20s.
HEIGHT: 5’10”, 179 cm
SA  LEVEL: 9, Fate can do everything but cut thread. He can, however, reconnect broken thread, a power exclusive only to him.
CELL PHONE: You know those bigass cell phones from the 80s? Fate use to have one of those. But then Fran gave him a Nokia for Christmas. Sometimes he uses it to play Snake but most of the time he uses it as a paper weight. Thanks Fran! Works great!

HP
Assume infinite for now
STR:
5, Most of Fate’s strength comes from stamina but over the centuries, Fate found that he needed to defend himself more than not or use force to get other’s attention. (mainly it’s having to deal with apprentices and SA humans. Bless them, Fate tries to be nice but not all of them are the brightest.)
DEX:
N/A, His teleporting ability is a bit of a cheat in terms of speed. However, he is not always accurate and his hand-eye coordination is only about average.
CON:
N/A, Assume Fate is immortal for now. However, though he is highly resistant to damage, he can still feel pain. In addition, Fate can be knocked out but only under extreme amounts of damage.
INT:
N/A, Fate has an encyclopedic knowledge of all humans’ who lived within the past 3000 years but is limited up to the point of death. He does not know what apprentices are up to and such.
WIS:
3, Still very much human, he doesn’t always make the best choices but he does try to. He tends to be swayed more by human emotions than Death but compared to most of humanity, Fate tries his best to be fair. His job, however, forces his hands and makes him learn quickly.
CHA:
5, Fate does have a natural energy and ease to him that most people seem to like and uses it far more that he should.

When you first meet Fate...you may not realize who he really is. Most people would see him as a normal carefree college student..just with the most startling golden eyes. You see, he mimics being a normal human remarkably well because...unlike Death, Fate was originally a human. And even through the centuries, he had managed to retained most of his humanity.
Like he was when he was alive, Fate is mostly cheery and easy-going...or at least he gives a very good impression of this. Centuries of immortality caused him to be a bit more fearless than when he was a human.

When it comes to his job, however, Fate takes it with utmost seriousness. There is a balance to be kept here and that is what he will do.

Death’s powers is waning but Fate’s powers are ever-growing. However, even as zealous as he is with his duties, Fate has problems controlling his own abilities across the board.

Human Knowledge: Fate has an encyclopedic knowledge of all humans’ who lived within the past 3000 years. Even if you do not remember it, Fate would be able to recall your entire history. After all, he gave it to you. However, Fate’s knowledge is limited by when one was alive. What you do in the afterlife is your business.

Thread Control: Fate is the person that initially plants the thread that connects the soul to the body in a person and gives them their initial spark of life (and a vision of their full potential). He can see the infinite amounts of paths a person can take in their lives and has a immediate sense of what emotions a person is feeling even if they are not showing it. He can also reconnect threads, turn threads from white to read and vice versa and influence fates by suggesting seeds of thought into humans in order to push them to their fullest. Like seeds, however, they will not grow if they are neglected by the owner. He has no power to cut thread once planted, that is Death’s job. Fate is also the person who relay reap orders to Death once a human is near the end.

Fate’s job is to keep the balance of fate of humans. He has no rank over Death’s apprentices. However, he will step in if he sees or feels an apprentice disturbing the fate of a living human or disturbing his or her own fate. Even simple things can start a ripple effect; One cannot see what can stem from it.

Matter Manipulation: In the living world, Fate can manipulate most organic and inorganic objects, recompile their elements and make them into something else. For example, sand to glass. Or a wooden chair to a wooden hammer of the same mass. Or a metal pole to a metal sword. He has trouble changing it back to what they once was though and sometimes things don’t transform to what he wants.

Weather Control: Fate also has slight control of the weather. He can nudge it certain ways but is limited in location and degree. For example, he can turn a cloudy spring day into rain but he cannot turn a sunny summer day to snow.

Animal persuasiveness: They know who he is, blessed by the sun. Animals are more inclined to help Fate if asked. Birds are a hit or miss though.

Teleportation: With a blink, Fate can slip into another location. This ability is needed since he is the only Fate and has no apprentices. However, he still have problems controlling this ability. In long distance teleportations, Fate sometimes misses his mark by miles and needs to retry. Because he cannot teleport into solid objects, he has a hard time being precise with his blinks. So when teleporting into a crowded room, there is a chance that Fate might end up coming in 10 ft above the ground and then falling straight down. ...he’s working on it, trust me. uvu
He can also teleport to Death's plane at will but...rarely does he ever. Death doesn't seem to want him there.

Immortality/Inhuman: It will not be Fate’s time to die yet and it won’t be for a very very long time. Because of this, Fate can rapidly generate wounds (almost instantly at the moment of impact) but this power does not keep him from feeling pain or feeling ill. Fate also does not need to eat, sleep or drink but he still does from time to time for nostalgia sake.
Death and Fate also has a psychic connection but they almost never use it. Death dislikes hearing Fate in her head and Fate...never felt welcomed by Death. So they just don't use it unless it's an emergency.

+ + H I S T O R Y + +

Fate, aka the person you see above, is not the original Fate. The original Fate was Death’s sister, born from the Sun as a gift to humanity...and had since passed away. Before the original Fate died, she gave her power, her light, to a human boy who would continue her work. That was over 3000 years ago.

Fate does not talk about his human life much.

It is a mere blip in my life, he says. I barely remember it, he insists with a smile. This last part is not true, Fate remembered it all in vivid detail (a curse of his abilities.) However, there have been just so many more important people and things since then so does it even matter?  After all, who he was then is not who he is now.

There was once a time, partway through, in which Fate tried to resist his duties. However he found that it was not at all possible; Similar to Death, he found that there was something inside of him that drove him to complete his purpose. Only in the past millennium or so had Fate really start to grab a hold of his job.

Fate spends most of his time in the living world, resting in abandoned human places if needed.

LIKES:
✔ People
✔ His job
✔ Whipped cream, man's greatest invention as far as he is concerned.
✔ Hats, all hats, all the time! OvO
✔ The sun and the sunlight
✔ Drawing and writing
✔ Death uvu uvu
✔ Some apprentices, not all. Some.

DISLIKE:
✘ Anyone who messes with the fate of humans without his consent...he just has an automatic revulsion towards. It must be built in.
✘ Teleporting long distances, aghhh. When is it ever going to get better.
✘ When Death calls him by his human name. It's just not who he is anymore.
✘ It's not like Fate dislikes apprentices...but he does feel a bit odd about them sometimes. Fate's knowledge stops at the point of death, so not automatically knowing something about someone throws him off his game.

‣ Fate’s eyes are a vibrant, every shifting gold, a reflection of the sun’s own light. They give off a soft glow of warmth. He wears a baseball hat most of the time to diminish its effect.

‣ He has a streak of silver running through his black hair, similar to what the late-Fate once had.

‣ Fate can’t draw for shit. uvu That does not stop him from trying. You think 3000 years would mean he would have all the time to improve but no amount of time will improve Fate’s drawing skills. Even worst, he thinks all his drawings look amazing. He might be trolling you tho.

‣ Fate finds his clothing anywhere he can. He doesn't really have the best fashion sense. Let's say it's...hobo chic. Or just hobo.

‣ In addition, Fate has a huge collection of hats. Baseball hat's his go to tho.

‣ Fate has a book in which he records the fate of all humans. When asked about it, he just takes moleskine out of his pocket and says 'in here!'. We are pretty sure the fate of all of humanity would not fit into a pocket sized moleskine, gg tho Fate.

‣ Fate's asian. Trust me on this, he is. uvu
