Wow it's been a while since I forced myself to draw so fast. Basically finished this in a night. It's good to have that drive again. I spent the past week setting up DeathsApprentices I'm excited. ;v; I haven't been for a while.
I don't think I drew a picture yet that really demonstrated the vastness of Death's HQ. I'm not sure if I can really but here is a try. I think before the group opens, I'm going to try a few more times. This one right here is the Moon Gate Hallways. There are several of them and they all connect the outside rooms to the inside offices. Each flower chandelier hanging from the ceiling is different, as if some made them all by hand, carefully and meticulously. It's horrible there when it rains or snows but all the other days are alright. Suck if you have allergies tho.
I guess a good way to describe how Death's plane looks like would be as if someone flipped through the whole catalog of human architecture then picked the parts she thought was the most beautiful and glued them together. You would get Death's HQ.
It is not a single building but many cobbled together. There is no single architecture era that unifies everything other than the constant reminder of the moon and all its phases, the presence of nature, ever-creeping, and endless grandeur.
Death made her HQ for humans to live in, humans from all time eras, all places.
Art nouveau, deco, baroque, minimalist, tribal, egyptian, oriental, roman, there are hallways that seem to be made of giant arching roots, there are hallways that go nowhere, rooms that have not been explored yet.
There is an ongoing attempt by some apprentices to try to map the HQ. It's been 2300+ years and they are still at it.
